Design

How it works

Concept Design

$

The Concept Design phase is the starting point of the design process, where IDEAS collaborates closely with the client to gather their ideas, requirements and turn them into a preliminary design. Through a thorough understanding of the client’s needs, goals, and vision for the project, coupled with site visits and assessments to gather information on existing conditions and constraints, IDEAS is able to develop a conceptual design plan that includes sketches, renderings, and a comprehensive project brief.

Tender Design

$

Building on the approved conceptual design, the Tender Design phase further develops and refines the design to produce a comprehensive and precise tender package for construction bidding. IDEAS will create detailed Tender drawings, specifications, and schedules to support the tender process. The outcome of this phase is a comprehensive set of tender documents that can be used to request bids from contractors.

Construction Design

$
During this phase, the construction design is developed and refined to create an even more detailed set of documents. IDEAS will also work on preparing specifications and schedules that are required for construction, and the output of this phase is a complete set of detailed construction documents that can be used for the construction of the project. It’s worth to note that these three steps are not always sequential and some of the phases may overlap or iterate multiple times depending on the complexity of the project and the nature of the client’s requirement.

Physical Architecture

Design is a constant challenge to balance comfort with luxe, the practical with the desirable.

Architectural & Interior Design

Architectural design is the science of designing and creating structures. This process involves a wide range of considerations, such as aesthetic design, functionality, structural integrity, and sustainability. Interior design, on the other hand, is the art of enhancing the interior of a building to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space.

In IDEAS, we use a combination of creativity and technical knowledge to select materials, plan and design layouts, choose lighting, and procure furniture of a space, in order to ensure that the design of the interior spaces complements and enhances the overall architectural design of the building.

Structural Design

Structural design is the process of determining the strength and stability of a building or structure. It involves the analysis and calculation of loads and stresses, as well as the selection of materials and the design of structural elements such as beams, columns, and foundations.

In IDEAS, we use a variety of methods to analyse and design structures, including mathematical modelling, computer simulations, and physical testing, to ensure that the structural design is safe, efficient, and cost-effective, and that it meets all relevant building codes and standards.

Lighting Design

Lighting design involves creating a lighting plan that is suitable for a particular space or environment. It includes choosing and positioning lights, managing light intensity, colour, and distribution to achieve desired aesthetic and functional outcomes.

in IDEAS, we use a combination of technical knowledge, creativity, and physical mock ups, to enhance the visual appeal and functionality of a space while minimising energy consumption.

MEP Design

MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) design is the process of designing and planning the systems that provide heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical power to a building. The goal of MEP design is to ensure that these systems are safe, efficient, and reliable, and that they meet the needs of the building and the people using it.

In IDEAS, we employ multiple design methods and techniques to develop comprehensive plans and MEP drawings that serve as a blueprint for the construction and operation of systems.

Automation Design

Automation design is the process of designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and controls to improve the efficiency and performance of a building or facility. It involves the use of sensors, actuators, and control systems to automate processes, such as lighting, HVAC, security, and energy management, and to provide real-time monitoring and control of the systems.

In IDEAS, we strive to design environments that are not only energy-efficient and user-friendly, but also help to reduce energy consumption, improve comfort levels, and enhance the overall functionality of a space. We carefully plan and execute each step of the design process, to ensure that the end result is a functional and visually pleasing space that meets the needs of all stakeholders.

Landscape Design

Landscape design involves the manipulation of land forms, vegetation, water, and other natural and man-made elements to create an attractive, functional, and sustainable environment.

In IDEAS, we are responsible for creating conceptual and detailed landscaping designs, where we consider factors such as site analysis, topography, soil conditions, climate, and hydrology, as well as the needs and preferences of the clients, in order to create functional, sustainable, and visually appealing outdoor spaces that enhance the quality of life for people and contribute to the overall aesthetic of the surrounding environment.

Digital Architecture

Good design is good business.

BIM Design

BIM (Building Information Modeling) design is a digital representation of a building’s physical and functional characteristics. It is a process of creating and managing a digital model of a building that captures and integrates data from design, construction, and operation phases.

In IDEAS we use 3D modeling software, such as Revit, ArchiCAD, and SketchUp, to create a virtual building model that contains not only the geometric information but also sometimes the properties of each building element, such as materials, dimensions, and performance characteristics. This model can be used to simulate and analyze the building’s performance, such as energy consumption, lighting, and structural behavior, allowing for more efficient design and construction, and ultimately, better-performing buildings.

Metaverse Design

Metaverse design refers to the process of designing and creating virtual worlds and environments that are accessed through the internet or other digital means. The term “metaverse” is often used to describe a collective virtual shared space, created by the convergence of virtually enhanced physical reality and physically persistent virtual reality, which allows users to interact with each other and the virtual environment in real-time.

In IDEAS, we create the architecture, environments, and other elements of the virtual world, that helps us create immersive and engaging virtual worlds that provide a sense of presence and allow users to interact with each other and the virtual environment in a natural and intuitive way.

NFT Design

NFT (non-fungible token) design refers to the process of creating unique digital assets that are represented as a cryptographic token on a blockchain. These tokens, called NFTs, can be used to represent a wide range of digital assets such as digital art, music, videos, and other forms of media. NFTs can be used to create a new market for digital art and other forms of media, and they allow creators to retain control over the distribution and ownership of their work.

In IDEAS, we create the digital assets that will be represented by the NFT, as well as the process of minting or issuing the NFT on a blockchain. This includes the process of creating the digital files and the metadata that will be associated with the NFT, such as the creator’s information, title, and description. Our goal is to create unique and one-of-a-kind digital assets that can be easily verified as authentic and that can be bought, sold, and traded on the open market.

AV/VR Design

AR/VR (Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality) design is the process of creating immersive digital experiences that merge the real and virtual worlds. AR (Augmented Reality) design involves overlaying digital information onto the user’s view of the real world, allowing them to see a combination of real and virtual objects in the same space. On the other hand, VR (Virtual Reality) design involves creating fully immersive digital environments that replace the user’s view of the real world.

In IDEAS, our ultimate objective is to design engaging and interactive experiences that provide users with a sense of presence and immersion in the digital environment. We focus on creating realistic and engaging experiences by utilizing cutting-edge technology and design techniques to ensure that users are fully immersed in the digital space, and that the overall experience is as seamless and intuitive as possible.
